A summer program for local children ages 6 to 12 years old includes science and art activities plus field trips for students and their families. The program is offered for one month and culminates in building a float for the Truchas Fiesta the last Saturday of July.

Details are available in May by calling the Truchas Library. The Truchas Fiesta is held the last Saturday in July with a parade just prior to the main event. There are food stands and entertainment starting at 12 Noon.
